Bio Isabel Miranda Owens is the youngest daughter of Patrick and Gina. Her two older sisters, Fiona (34), and Laura (38), are both happily married with families of their own. When Isabel has the time, she more than loves being ‘the cool aunt’ to her nieces and nephews. While she doesn’t have a family of her own, it has always been a secret dream (or not so secret if you know her well enough). She’s been engaged three times, and all three times she’s fled and left the grooms at the alter. She’s never considered herself to be afraid of commitment, but something in her has made it impossible for her to ever walk down the aisle without suffering major panic attacks. She regrets ever letting those relationships get so far. Her upbringing in such a loving family, and her adoration of her sisters’ children led her to choosing Crimes Against Children as her specialist area in the FBI. Having seen so much horror afflicted on children though, she does sometimes wonder if having a family would be a good idea, and is scared that her own children will suffer intense trauma. During a confrontation with an angry father on a case three years ago, Isabel was shot twice: once in the shoulder, and once in her abdomen. The second shot luckily missed any vital organs, but she still has scars. Isabel can sometimes seem as if she’s thirty going on thirteen because of the pranks she enjoys playing on her partner. The truth is, that Isabel’s extremely good at her job, and she works very hard. The prank playing is just an outlet for her stress, and because she does kind of think Campbell asks for it. The blond agent does get under her skin like no one else. Her downtime is spent either with her family, at live music gigs, bars, or cosseted in her apartment reading a book, watching a film, and working on her skills as a painter. She has no great wishes to be an exhibiting artist, but she finds it a good way to slow down, and relax.  |
